READING

Atomic Design by Brad Frost

Modularity is key. Especially now, because we are in a tech age where it's speeding up faster and faster and everything is starting to become connected. Multi-devices are very important nowadays. We used to just have books and now we have much more than the internet.

When The Magic Escalator of Acquired Knowledge knocks down the old users, the new users also need some time adjusting to the redesign. This is where functionality comes in. We need functional redesigning in order for the old and new users to harmonize.

Chunky: Well designed chunks of restructured content.

Responsive web design includes fluid grids, flexible media, and CSS media queries. This is the systematic UI design method to creating multi-device experience.

THREE IMPORTANT PRINCIPLES

MATERIAL

KEEP THINGS GROUNDED WITH AFFORDANCES.

BOLD GRAPHICS

KEEP THINGS FOCUSED AND MEANINGFUL.

MOTION

KEEP THINGS MOVING WITH CONTINUITY.

Extra things to think about are keeping things consistent and clean with good grammar and lots of testing, maintenance and sustainable.
