Collective + Apparel
Malaika Collective brings out culture within the fashion community and introduces people to the African diaspora. The "Collective" cultivates conversation and community about the histories and cultures of the Pan-African diaspora. Underneath this main name label is the "Apparel" which is where this company originated from, as a clothing fashion label.
The Malaika Logos are originally created by Dotun Abeshinbioke and I have animated the official logos for both Collective and Apparel. I have also worked with her in order to achieve the complete brand look as I worked on typographic choices and color palette.

Malaika Collective templates are created to help the marketing team insert images and quotes that help champion what Malaika believes in throughout their social media.
The colors match and link up well to the shapes within the templates and can be clipped with photos and twitter quotes. Different patterns can also be used to show diversity in social media posting.

Throughout Malaika's brand identity as a start up company, it advanced through the beginning stages and eventually came to be a classy and minimal design incorporating patterns and curves through illustration and color.
Being a company like Malaika, color is an important asset to use along with a diverse range of movement in the illustrative assets created; wrapping paper, decorative boxes, stickers, postcards, CTA cards, banners, posters, hangtags, business cards, mailer boxes.
